I’ve been following Writing Class Radio’s podcast for years — and joined First Draft in 2020. I already loved Andrea and Allison’s voices and stories and learning from them for a week on the most beautiful lake in the world was truly a surreal experience. One of the most special creative and rejuvenating experiences of my life. Such a wonderful learning and healing experience! Loved meeting new people and becoming more deeply invested in my writing and my writing community.

Thank you for one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. I loved your writers retreat in Guatemala. It went far beyond my expectations. The location was extraordinary. It was beautiful, enchanting, and different than any place I had ever visited. The rhythm of your workshops was perfect. Everyone had a chance to write, read, listen, and comment. I learned so much. The participants were smart and interesting. I was amazed at how three generations of people were able to blend so well. There was not an annoying person in the bunch. What are the odds of THAT? The surprise of having to take a water taxi to our location definitely brought me in. Our memorable week together made me want more.
The two of you make a a good team. Your energy, singularly and together, is energizing. For me, the entire week was magical. Thank you for letting me be a part of such an enlightening experience. I look forward to continuing with your online classes.

Experiencing Guatemala with Writing Class Radio was a beautiful experience. The scenery was spectacular, the food was amazing, and the people were super nice. I loved sharing my work and getting thoughtful, expert feedback, and I learned a lot listening to the other writers and participating in their critiques. I had a great week and left with writing I’m proud of. Highly recommend.
